After we put our luggages in the guesthouse, we started our sightseeing in the City Hall Area first... In this area, there are many cultural places to be visited, since we didn't have much time to visit all of those, we only chose few of them :)

We also went to the famous Cheonggyecheon Bridge (Stream), this place is also a popular tourist attraction and it has appeared in many Korean dramas *Yes, I'm a Korean dramas lover :p* This stream is located in the middle of the city, between the off ice buildings in Seoul, it's quite long and also can be reached from inside the mall...

Then we went to Insadong, which is the place for numerous traditional antique shop, art galleries, souvenir shops, and restaurants... We had our lunch there (I'll post the food photos in another entry later :)). The atmosphere here is very calm and not crowded, unlike Myeongdong and Hongdae.

From there, we went to the Bukchon Hanok Village, which is a place for numerous Korean traditional houses. This place is so unique because it's located between the modern buildings.

It's quite tiring walked through the village... Since my friend have to go to the restroom and we can't find any along the way, we don't have a choice to go to this tea house... We thought we could just order two portion of tea-pots and a snack for six of us (the tea price here is expensive!), unfortunately we had to order one portion for one person (I think the waitress knew that we only came there to use the restroom... Haha :D), so I decided to order the Jasmine Tea since it's not so expensive compare to other tea :D Jasmine Tea is 7000 won/pot, refill is free... It's expensive, right? But the atmosphere here is so calm, no wonder the tea price here is expensive... Haha... Once is enough... :p

From Bukchon, we went to the National Folk Museum Korea, which located within the Gyeongbok Palace (Gyeongbokgung). This museum illustrates the history of traditional life of the Korean people, there are so many replicas in there from a shaman life, traditional marriage even to the process of a traditional funeral of Korean people.

Below is the Gyeongbokgung, which is the main palace of the Joseon Dynasty.
Gyeonghoeru
Geunjeongjeon
Gwanghwamun
King Sejong the Great statue, located at the center of Gwanghwamun Square, in front of the Gwanghwamun Gate.
From there, we decided to have a dinner first then went to Dongdaemun Market at night, which located not far from there. Unlike Myeongdong, Dongdaemun market operated till late at night. Because of the freezing cold wind blew so strong that night, unfortunately we can't have a sight-seeing there. I only went to the money changer there... Hahaha... We even didn't take any photo there :( So, we decided to go back to the guesthouse to clean ourselves and have a really good sleep after a long flight.
Tomorrow, another journey were awaiting us :)
to be continued...
