short story happened on February...

This quite funny incident was happened in LCCT, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia on February when me and my friend were waiting for our flight to Incheon, Seoul. After we checked in our baggages, we sat on the nearest waiting room before we entered the immigration, since it's still a while till our time to take off, we had chit-chat there while taking few selcas :D

While we chat, a woman approached us asking:
Miss A: "Are you Filipino?"
Me & Friend: "Ehhhh?!"
Miss A: "Are you Filipino?"
Me & Friend: "No, We're from Indonesia."
Miss A: "Oh, sorry..."
Then she left.
Me & Friend looked at each other while smiling...

After that we laughed... What a weird and interesting incident :D

Here are some delicious food I've tried... *forgot the name of some of them... sorry ^^;*

Finally got to taste the real Korean Dolsot Bibimbap at Sinpo Woori Mandoo, Insadong for 5,500 won for lunch... So delicious~ :9

My friend ordered this... *I think she ordered Kimchi jjigae (Kimchi Stew)*

I ordered this Omellette Rice for dinner at a restaurant in Myeongdong for 5,500 won... Yummy~

Before we went to Nami Island, we ate this Korean Grilled Chicken (chicken BBQ) first for lunch for 8,500 won/person... So yummy~

I ate this for dinner in Myeongdong... Yay!!! Finally I got to taste Tonkatsu!!! The price was 5,000 won... The pork cutlet was so thick... So delicious~ Love it!!! :9

My friends ordered these dishes...

Budae jjigae (Korean Army Base Stew) *Actually I'm not quite sure if this is the right name... sorry ^^;*

Yukaejang (Korean Spicy Beef Soup)

We ate the Yoogane's Chicken Marinated Galbi Fried Rice (dak galbi) for lunch at Yoogane Restaurant in Myeongdong... It's a big portion and we ate it till our stomach were so full... Another delicious food :)

Before it cooked...

After it cooked with rice...

The side dishes they served... I like the orange one... It looked like pickled plum...

We ate this for dinner... I didn't knew the name for this dish because there's no English in the menu... I think it contained of beef or ribs with vegetables and potatoes... The broth was delicious... This Korean restaurant is located near our guesthouse in Hongdae... We wanted to eat there simply because when we passed this restaurant on our way back to guesthouse, it's so crowded with people, so we got curious... :D

Before it cooked...

After it cooked...

Beside kimchi, they also served this green peppers as side dishes... My friend told me to taste it... Wow... It's weird... It wasn't spicy at all... I thought it would be so spicy, I even prepared water to drink... Hahaha :D

I ate this Samgyetang (Ginseng Chicken Soup) for lunch in Myeongdong... I ate this on my last day in Seoul... When I looked the picture in the menu, it looked big for one person, so I shared it with my friend... It was a big portion indeed for one person... Phew~ We ate it passionately... It so delicious... So this was what ginseng taste like... I like it... The broth is so delicious... Love it!!! :D My other friend ordered the Abalone Porridge... I also tasted it... It also delicious... :D

We also got to taste some street snacks (pojangmacha) and they all cheap and delicious of course :D
Some delicious snacks we bought...

Bungeoppang (carp cake/bread), pastries fill with sweet red bean paste, we bought this on our way back from N Seoul Tower, the ahjussi was so kind to us, he sold 6 pieces of these only for 2,000 won... It so delicious to eat these in the frizzing cold weather... Yummy~ :9

Ddong ppang (Poo-bread), yup, it's a poo-shaped bread! But don't judge the book by its cover... Although it looked disgusting, but the taste was great... It's the same filling as bungeoppang... We bought this snack at Ssamzie Market in Insadong for 2,000 won...

Deli Manjoo Cream Cake... My friend and me bought this snack in the Seoul subway station for 3,000 won for medium size... It was tiny cakes filled with vanilla cream... No wonder it only sold in the subway because when people wait for their train, they want to eat something tiny and not messy, so this is the right snack for them... Hahaha... It's so delicious especially in the cold weather :9

Tornado Potatoes in Myeongdong, it's a spiral-cut potato, deep fried and then seasoning it... Yes, it's a junk food... We bought this snack just for our curiosity :p It was sweet and the price was about 2,500-3,000 won... Quite expensive right?

I hope I will return to Seoul in the future and taste other delicious hansik there :D

February's Trip (Part 6)

On our last day in Seoul, since our flight was at midnight, we decided to take pictures in Hanbok (Korean Traditional Clothes). We can try hanbok for free at Seoul Global Culture & Tourism Center at M Plaza, Myeongdong. Arriving there, we had to register first, when it's already our turn, we could choose which hanbok we wanted to try, after that we could start to take pictures as many as we want for free in 30 minutes!!! Awesome right??? :D

Our turn to take pictures was at 3 PM and it's still a couple hours to go, so we decided to go to Seven Luck Casino at Millenium Seoul Hilton because my friends said that they want to gamble... Hahaha...

Time went fast... Hahaha... It's already 2.45 PM when we decided we must go back to M Plaza to take pictures, if we're late they said that they'd cancel it... We ran there hurriedly in the cold weather... Hahaha... By the time we got there, we're late about 5-10 minutes... Fortunately, they didn't cancel it, so we change our clothes hurriedly since we could only take pictures until 3.30 PM, and it's not much time left... Hahaha...

Here are some pictures we took :)

Pretty & handsome mannequins :)

Annyeong hashimnikka~ :D

We got matching colour hanbok, cheeseeee~ :D

Three ladies in action! ^^

Taking pictures with Daiki Sugiyama, our new Japanese friend from our guesthouse, he's so funny with his cute English... He said he wanted to improve his English so he tried to have a conversation with us in English... So we spend our last day in Seoul with him, he even accompanied us to the airport! Awww... So cute... :D That day he became a celebrity because we all wanted to take a picture with him... Hahaha...

A family portrait look alike... Hahaha :D

Pictures with different background :)

After taking pictures, we went to Insadong to bought souvenirs... By the time we finished there, the sky was already became dark, so it's time to go to the airport... Our new friend Daiki said he would accompany us to the airport... So nice of him... :)

Five days went so fast... Couldn't believe it's already our time to leave... We really had a wonderful day during our stay in Korea... Too bad we couldn't visit more places as we planned before... I felt that 5 days was not enough to go around Seoul itself... Hahaha...

I hope that I will come back to Korea someday... *fingers crossed* :)

February's Trip (Part 5)

*ALERT!!! long post with many pictures!!! ^^*

During my visit to Seoul, besides visiting the places I mentioned before, there're places where young people would gather. These places also has become a tourist attraction in Seoul. Fortunately, I had time to go to two places (actually, I've been there almost every day... Haha :D). The first place is Myeongdong Market. This place is popular for its shopping districts in Seoul... In this market, besides department stores, restaurants, boutiques, there're so many skin/cosmetic shops... (This market is like Xi Men Ting in Taiwan) Of course, there're also so many pojangmacha (street foods) there. I bought many cosmetics and face masks there... Haha... After we purchased the products, we got many free samples too... Wew!!! Very good marketing!!! ^^

'Mejeng' at Myeongdong :D

There's a street performance, these young people are street dancers... Great performance~ :D

Myeongdong market at night... So many people~

Besides Myeongdong, there's Hongdae area, where young people would gather... This place located near Hongik University and is popular for its entertainment and clubs, and in this area there are so many young artists who would perform in street... Unlike Myeongdong, it's become crowded in Hongdae as the night come, even until dawn... So many young people come to this area to watch the street performers, watch musical performance, go clubbing, go shopping (there are also many clothing stores, accessories and cosmetics shops here) or even just to hang out with friends *yes, Hongdae also famous for its unique cafes ^^*

Hongdae at night

The street performer at Hongdae, they're dancing, making gag and even doing some magics :D

Taking picture in front of Cooking Nanta musical *I didn't watch it, but my friend did... I prefer looking around and shopping than watching the musical... Hehe :D*

Taking picture with SHINee's Minho in front of Etude House after shopping :D

Like I said before, Hongdae is famous for its unique cafes... Fortunately, I could visit one of those cafes :)

This unique cafe is called Hello Kitty Cafe *yes, that famous cartoon character*... It's very unique isn't it for a cafe? When we entered the cafe, all the wallpapers here are fill will pink colour just like Hello Kitty colour, even the chairs here are so girly... Cute!!! I bet men only entered this cafe only with their girlfriends... Haha :D The menu here is similar as the common cafes as we all know, hot choco, cappuccino, cheese cake, etc... What makes it different is the cartoon character itself... Cakes and drinks here are formed like Hello Kitty... So cute!!! ^^
